Our Beliefs

Statement of Beliefs

  • We believe in one eternal Creator God, Who reveals Himself as The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit. This relationship among the Godhead is referred to as the Trinity. (Colossians 1:16-17, Matthew 28:19)

  • We believe The Son, Jesus, being fully divine and fully human, was perfect yet crucified, buried, resurrected and now sits at the right hand of The Father, making intercession for us as our High Priest. (Colossians 2:9, Acts 2:33)

  • We believe that Jesus reveals Humanity as God intended from the beginning.

  • Through His vicarious human nature, Jesus opened the door of eternal life to all who will receive Him.

  • We believe Jesus sent The Holy Spirit, another Comforter like Him, to lead us in all Truth. (John 16:13)

  • We believe the Bible is the authoritative word of God. (2 Timothy 3:16)

  • We believe through one man Adam, sin came into the world, and through one man, Jesus, salvation is offered to anyone who will repent and place their faith in Him. There is no other name under Heaven by which a person might be saved. (Romans 5:19, Acts 4:12)

  • We believe that those who are justified and sanctified, the righteous, will receive the gift of God, eternal life, and that those who freely choose to refuse His gift of salvation will receive the wages of sin, death.

  • We believe that the Church is responsible for fostering disciples who then foster other disciples.

The Apostles' Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
      creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the virgin Mary.
      He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
      was crucified, died, and was buried;
      he descended to hell.
The third day he rose again from the dead.
      He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
      the holy catholic* church,
      the communion of saints,
      the forgiveness of sins,
      the resurrection of the body,
      and the life everlasting. Amen.
